Alive

Alive, a four part series about the science of survival at the extremes, is close to a final decision with C4 funding a showreel for our possible presenter, Dr Mark Lythgoe.  Mark is an extreme sportsman, physiologist and hypothermia expert from Great Ormond Street Hospital.   Nick Stringer went our to Switzerland to shoot the reel and hired a snow cat to bury Mark in a mock avalanche.  Rigged up with a tiny lipstick camera, Mark gave a gripping commentary of what it’s like to be Buried Alive.  We’ve had great feedback and now await the final decision on the series.
