25th Anniversary of BBC Natural World

Posted on: November 3rd, 2008

The BBC wildlife series Natural World continues its 25 year reputation for revelation on Tuesday 18 November by screening WHALE SHARK!.  Big Wave’s cameras trail marine biologist, Mark Meekan on a year-long quest to fathom the mystery of where and how a fish twice the size of a great white hides.  The film uses the latest satellite tracking and shark-cam technology to explore the mysterious lives and travels of the world’s biggest fish.

We are also delighted to announce another Natural World commission currently filming in Mozambique.  THE MANTA QUEEN tells the remarkable story of twenty eight year old Andrea Marshall who gave up everything for a life observing the largest population of manta rays in the world.  From discovering their birthing grounds, to the discovery of a giant new species, the film is an inspiring true story of one young woman’s determination to understand and protect these remarkable creatures.  And we have more Natural World’s in the pipeline
