In the isolated waters off Norfolk Island, three of the ocean’s most powerful predators—Tiger, Dusky, and Galapagos sharks—gather in extraordinary numbers. Shark experts Lauren Meyer, Adam Barnett, and Charlie Huveneers set out to discover why, using satellite tags, drones, and new “birth tag” technology. Their mission leads them from coral reefs to bird colonies and coastal harbours, uncovering fierce territorial rivalries and a finely tuned ecosystem where every species must find its place—or risk becoming prey. Along the way, the team makes a groundbreaking discovery: a pregnant Tiger shark, carrying pups ready to be born near the island. With each dive, experiment, and unexpected twist, they reveal how Norfolk has become a vital—yet perilous—battleground for the Pacific’s apex predators.
