It’s the summer of 2012, Cape Cod. With great white sightings increasing year on year, shark expert, Greg Skomal, must learn all he can about Atlantic JAWS. Everything he discovers could help Chatham Harbour Master, Stuart Smith, better protect the beaches and avoid a fatality.
This year’s Jaws Meets SharkCam promises more extraordinary SHARK WEEK firsts;
Greg will be trialling a revolutionary new underwater camera system that will remotely track a great white underwater for the FIRST TIME.
As the on-going drama of sightings and beach closures unfolds off Chatham, Cape Cod’s sharks spread north. To understand more about their movements Greg sets up acoustic receivers from NantucketIsland all the way to Truro. It’s the most extensive shark detection network of its kind.
And in the ultimate great white spy mission, Greg will be attempting the longest and most detailed track of a great white ever, as he tries to follow a great white 24/7.
From stunning new footage of great whites hunting to amazing new revelations about their lives, Greg is at the top of his game, but now he’s pushing the boundaries of shark science and SHARK WEEK!
